Vinegar Pot - Andrew Cope
Andrew Cope is a Victoria-based potter who has created this range of glazed stoneware to complement the kitchen of any enthusiastic cook.
After completing a post-graduate degree at Monash University in 1992, Andrew spent ten years as resident potter at Clayworks Australia in Dandenong, Victoria, before setting up his own workshop on a small farm in beautiful north-eastern Victoria in 2003. His studio, which was once an old dairy, overlooks the Byawatha and Eldorado Hills.
Andrew makes stoneware vessels and forms, slab-built or wheel-thrown and manipulated, with combed decorative surfaces and synthetic ash glazes. He received the Victorian Ceramics Group's H.R. Hughan award in 1997.
